in which it is too hot to turn on the computer
because the computer at home turns itself off after about twenty minutes, even after a minor operation involving a tiny screw driver and tiny tweezers and the removal of a lot of dog hair and lint. Apparently without air conditioning it can't run at five hundred degrees, or something. i am not ever buying a hewlitt-packard laptop again. Ever.

but.

this almost guarantees my spoiler-free status, if i can just keep my time on the internet at work under careful control. No salon. No times. No youtube. No myspace. what i want to happen: that the Weasley twins continue to be awesome, and that Elizabeth Edwards wins the democratic primary. what i think will happen, maybe, in theorycraft: snape is good. Either snape or neville is a means by which good wins (however, "my name is neville longbottom, you kill my father, et c.," doesn't have the same ring, somehow). Voldemort, dead. Dumbledore, still dead. Sirius, still mostly dead. Snape, possibly dead. Kreacher a nasty, bitey little thing, probably dead seeing as how he's old and under a lot of stress. Scar is not a horcrux. Ron-Hermione 'shippers to be pleased. (She doesn't get eaten by the eels at this time.) assorted giants, no longer unemployed in Greenland. People who die: one teacher other than Snape, not Flitwick, not Sprout, possibly Hagrid or McGonagall. i really want Molly Weasley (and the twins) to live, but am not convinced. Bloodbath involving the Order vs. DEs. Bill and Fleur's wedding tragically interrupted. (Fleur buys the farm, Molly Weasley sad?) Tonks and Lupin make it. Students die (Cho? Seamus? oh, definitely Colin Creevey.)

i'm going to be wrong about everything. i always am.
