still cheaper than therapy*

and we're back from vacation - we were in florida for nearly a week - and at work again. and able to blog.

only the boss is still off, and is back only tomorrow afternoon. so it's sort of easing back into normality.

and i think i may have had the flu. drinking lots of tea and having echinacea and vitamin C and tylenol-cold just in case.

when the guests left there was all sorts of different food in the fridge. lots of oranges, and toaster pastries, and fish soup concentrate, and Lean Cuisine. i've been eating the toaster pastries, but the oranges seem to have gone off and all brown while we were away. probably should have tossed them beforehand, like the milk. but the Lean Cuisine will probably come in handy someday for a lunch or something when i'm feeling uninspired - and i learned how to make the fish soup and it's better than it sounds.

baby wasn't eating baby food yet, so they didn't leave any of that. we'd have had to feed it to the dog - none of the babies we know eat it. they eat frozen vegetables and corn dogs and pasta. i have to agree with the baby that likes pasta. when we had the baby that likes pasta over - it might have actually been on christmas - we gave him a bowl of tortellinis or something (in one of the blue spotted tin unbreakable camping bowls) and he turned it upside down over his head. the dogs loved it - all the food went on the floor. but they didn't get to lick off the baby.

the baby got to come over and take care of the dogs while we were away, too, and apparently he Loved It. i think he likes it better when the dogs wash his face than when mommy does. but maybe that's because he knows the dogs aren't going to wash his hair.
